Trip Interrupted

My apologies for those who had been following this blog. On April 30, shortly after we arrived on Maui and met up with Lauren and Andrew, we received word that my mother had been hospitalized with a small stroke. The next day, we learned that CT scan revealed that my mother was full of cancer. We caught the first available flight home (via Pheonix and Charlotte) and reached her side late May 2. We were able to spend a few days with her before she passed away on May 7.
